The 22-year old Hrishita (she now spells it as
Hrishitaa) Bhatt started off, like most others, as a face in various ad
commercials, the most notable one being that of Liril soap. She became
famous as the Liril girl with a cute smile.
It was this ad that attracted the attention of first-time director Gurudev
Bhalla and made him sign her on opposite Abhishek Bachchan in 'Sharaarat'.
Next, Shahrukh Khan was smitten by her and took her on to play the role of
his wife in 'Ashoka'.
Hrishita Bhatt the cute girl next door from the Aryans video "Aankhon Mein
tera .." stormed Bollywood with her charm. Hrishita Bhatt will be a newcomer
to watch out for.
Sadly for Hrishita, none of these films worked, but she didn't lose heart.
She still had some interesting offers coming her way, one of which was Vashu
Bhagnani's 'Out of Control', opposite Ritiesh Deshmukh. Even though the
focus was on the Playboy bunny, Brande Roderick, Hrishita's performance did
not go unnoticed.
She was signed opposite Jimmy Shergill for Tigmannshu Dhulia's 'Haasil'.
Again, the film didn't work, but the film and performances therein found
appreciation. Impressed with her in 'Haasil', Tigmannshu pencilled in
Hrishita for his recently released 'Charas' as well, opposite Uday Chopra.
The film also starred Jimmy Shergill and Namrata Shirodkar.
Five films old, Hrishita will also be seen doing a traditional dance number
(special appearance) in a forthcoming Subhash Ghai production. On the
personal front, there are no controversies about her!
